Tempio is surrounded by spectacular scenery, from the granite spires of Limbardi on one side, to the mountains of Aggius on the other. It is known as the “city of rock”, and in fact, its town centre consists of low houses and granite buildings, often adorned with wrought-iron balconies called “li passizi” which face the streets and alleyways. Looks are deceiving however, as Tempio is also a welcoming and vibrant town. Unforgettable stops in Tempio include; the Piazza San Pietro, the cathedral, Rosario Oratory, and the tree-lined street Fonte Nuova, San Lorenzo and Rinagghju.
