Porto Rotondo is situated in a breathtaking cove, about 15 kilometres from Olbia. It was founded by Count Dona of the Roses. It is a renowned tourist town and one amongst some of the most famous in Sardinia. It offers many possibilities for relaxation and enjoyment than just it's sparkling and pristine sea. A holiday in Porto Rotondo allows you to enjoy unique natural beauty, as well as on the isles of Soffi, Mortorio, the Costa Smeralda and other beautiful cliffs. Porto Rotondo is full of beaches, local nightlife and restaurants where it is easy to meet sports personalities and actors. A must-see is Piazza San Marco, with its sculpture located in the centre indicating north and its tiny streets that evoke old villages. But most of all, it is known for its port which hosts anywhere from small wooden boats to modern yachts. The charming San Lorenzo Church, known for it's similarity to an overturned hull, contains around 200 wooden statues representing sacred scenes.
