The Archipelago of La Maddalena

The Archipelago of La Maddalena an incredible natural and faunistic heritage site: 5,000 hectares of land and 13,000 of clear water, protected by the National Park. The fishing village of La Maddalena is the main centre, and Piazza Garibaldi, with its cafes and restaurants, is the heart. Amusement is also found around the house of the hero of 2 worlds, in Caprera. The other islands, however, are almost uninhabited and each maintain a special kind of charm. Spargi owes its name to the wild asparagus that covers it during spring. Budelli is famous for its pink sand beach, Razzoli for its cliffs and the wild territory. Santa Maria has a few houses and is the resting place of flamingos, herons and gulls who stop at the small pond.
